Hope Alison Carr, Conceptual Creative Director & Designer
With a background in promotional and medical education healthcare communications, I have built my career creating award-winning visual solutions grounded in conceptual thinking and innovation.
Before entering the healthcare industry, I worked in book and magazine publishing, where I developed a strong foundation in design and prepress production. That experience continues to be an asset in my work today, allowing me to take projects from conception to press, with expert knowledge of pressready standards and a thorough understanding of the production process.
Specializing in medical education has given me the opportunity to develop a distinctive creative niche, pushing the boundaries of traditional scientific visuals across therapeutic areas including cardiovascular disease, dermatology, endocrinology, epilepsy, gastroenterology, gynecology, immunology, nephrology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, pain management, psychiatry, pulmonology, rheumatology, and rare disease. My work has supported educational initiatives for pharmaceutical companies including Alcon, Allergan, Bausch + Lomb, Bayer HealthCare, Cara Therapeutics, Eli Lilly and Company, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Merck, kaléo, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Pernix Therapeutics, Santen Pharmaceutical, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Zogenix.

Originally from Connecticut, I moved South with my husband, Jason, in 2020, settling in South Carolina to start our family. I am a proud mama to our daughter, Meadow, and our cat, Faithy, and work from my home studio just outside of Charlotte.
When I’m away from my desk, I’m usually finding another outlet for creativity, whether through home decorating, putting together a beautiful table, or simply bringing a creative eye to everyday life. I also enjoy starting my days with strength training, which gives me energy and a clear head for the day ahead.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career doing what I love and still look forward to the creative possibilities that come with every new project.
